Butcher's Field (near the famous Pevensey Castle) in Westham Village
This was purchased in 2002 by Westham Parish Council to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The field is at the exit and entry point to Westham Parish and has recently been used to graze sheep. At the far end of the field there is a commemorative stone to celebrate the life of the late John Vincent.
There are benches in the field so that residents can enjoy the views of the castle and the village of Westham.
During the coming years it is hoped that some work can be undertaken in order to restore the soil so that suitable meadow plants can be reinstated.
